The refined Konpira travel bringing together different people, different times, and different thoughts.
Konpira gained popularity as a god of the sea because people traveling through the Setonai sea by ship would use the Zouzu mountain as a landmark.
In the Edo period, the saying went “at least once in your life, see Konpirasan”, and the common people aspired to make this travel. You can now feel the same longing for travel and refined culture at Kinpira.
笠のカタチに焼き上げた縁起のいい石松まんじゅう。
讃岐といえば和三盆。
そして香川県産の新鮮な卵をたっぷり使って
焼き上げたこしあん入りのカステラまんじゅう。
勝負運が強かったといわれる森の石松さんにあやかって
威勢よく頬張れば運気もあがります。
Ishimatsu Manju is a sweet in the shape of a woven bamboo hat which brings good luck. The Sanuki region is known for the “wasanbon” sugar. This freshly cooked sponge cake manju uses fresh Kagawa eggs and a smooth azuki bean paste filling. Eat this sweet to get some of the famous luck of Morino Ishimatsu.

民謡、石段、石松、金毘羅丸。
こんぴらを代表する四つの絵柄が描かれています。
Crunchy and fragrant, once you taste it your life will be like a ship with full sails. Enjoy this senbei iron branded one by one by a loving craftsman, and their simple taste.
This senbei uses Kagawa eggs and the typical Kagawa sugar “wasanbon”.
It shows four typical images representing Konpirasan: Folk songs, stone steps, Ishimatsu, and Konpiramaru.

そんな“山の海”こんぴらから、
時代や環境の変化によって様々な課題を抱えている

Konpira is mysterious in its relationship with fishermen despite being a mountain city without any sea. We would like to pass on this “sea culture” from Konpirasan, the “mountain’s sea”, through the changes in times and environments. We provide you with the sea’s tasty culture with the local Setonai sea as a center.
